My task – which I have chosen to accept – is to find 12 gigs happening today, in Sheffield, one for each of the postcodes S1 to S12.

Are there really that many things going on? What? When? Where-for-art-thou? Why?
All this, the Twelve Collective, and much much else revealed tonight

Love this project, among others from Bank Street, Sheffield: http://bankstreetarts.com/exhibitions/121212/

He has done other great explorations such as this:

Expedition 1: “Ibn Fadlan Meets The Vikings”

This is the first of 5 walks, each following the route of a renowned expeditionary journey. Part 1 will follow Ibn Fadlan’s journey from Baghdad in 922 to meet the Russian Vikings. Each walk will culminate in a performance at Bank Street Arts on the Friday following the walk. The walks are documented using various means and this is where you are invited to collaborate with Stephen using: photographs, sound recording, film, anthropological/meteorological/geological field notes, diary entries, poems, drawings, sketches, etc.To join the first of the 5 walks, meet at Bank Street Arts at 11am, Saturday 1^st December.
Bring things to record your impressions – cameras/sketchbooks/notepads/sound recording devices. Also bring warm/waterproof clothing.
